Hello Hello, and welcome to my blog on building my own little piece of the ocean. Ive been reading about buildiong a nano reef for about 2 years. I had a 75g freshwater tank that was up and running for 10 years. When I moved I broke down that tank and sold it. When I got to my new place I was planned on setting up a nano tank and soon as I got settled in. Well here we are.
Im going to post lots and lots of pictures showing whats been going on with the tank as it progresses. Enjoy!
The box! It all starts here.

Lights turned on. I did swap the blue light with the white light so when the blue light comes on first the fans do as well. I plan on having a day night light cycle. Pretty easy all you have to do it remove the 4 screws in each corcer and that plastic cover comes off. Be carefull with the rubber things that hold the end of the light down near the right side. A quick call to oceanic and they sent out 2 replacments free. They replacments are solid white in color. The ones that the tank came with where a bit thicker and clear.

Pluged in and time for a leak test

Leak test. It passed!

Only other issue I had other then the rubber thing breaking on the light was the fan on the top right was not spinning. I dismantled the hood and checked the connections. Sorry no pics of that
All the connections where good so I just flicked the fan and it started right up. I have not had a problem with the fans since.
